willow tree farm was founded in 2002 and we travel around Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
We have just over 40 species of animals and our mobile petting zoo provides a variety of fun, interactive and educational shows for every age group and event including animal parties, family fun days, school workshops, holiday clubs plus animal therapy for schools and clubs for people with physical and learning disabilities.
We are Vet Inspected and Council Inspected so you can rest assured that animal welfare is our number one priority and our second is that you and your guests have the most AMAZING memorable experience at your event.

All of our animals are safely enclosed in our portable vivarium's and enclosures at all times but just for your reassurance we provide 10 Million Public Liability Insurance which is available to send upon request for your venue.

We are Vet and Council Inspected and our amazing animals live on our farm in shirebrook.

Established in 2002 we are DBS checked, our staff are in uniform for identification.

We cater for schools, clubs and colleges and a range of topics including; Minibeasts, Africa, Rainforests, Habitats and Classification.

Please allow 5-10 minutes either side of the approximate times stated. Time will vary depending on the level of interaction of the children with the animals, the behaviour of the children and the number of children participating.

Please see the animals page for information on restrictions of animals regarding age and home/venue size restrictions. This is for the safety of the children and the animals themselves.

Visits are strictly indoors only due to the risk of escape, exposure to the elements and the need for heating and an electricity point (plug socket).

Please remember our animals are very heavy and for safety reasons we cannot walk far with them. Please consider a classroom/hall easily accessible within a 30 second walking distance. We also have to do several trips and will need a staff member to hold doors etc.

The welfare of our animals is paramount and are displayed in mini versions of their home enclosures/vivariums. We do not travel more than approx. 1 hour from postcode NG20.

stay all day at your school giving you a chance to bring out each class. cost is £550.00 for the day

We can work to any schedule-however 30 minute sessions to 1 hour work well with a lunch break for the animals
LOCATION: For our full farm we ideally need to be able to park our car/van and trailer next to the area! We find your school playing field is ideal however should you not have one don't worry we can setup on hard standing however we must be informed of this before the visit as it involves bringing different equipment, animals and will affect the price.
We provide everything needed for the visit including gazebos for the animals in case of poor weather , after each session we ask the children to use our defra approved hand foam and then they must each wash their hands with hot water and soap on return to the school.
We will leave the area in a clean condition & remove and dispose of all animal waste
Reptile animal package we will bring a virality of reptiles and insects to you normally 6 insects and reptiles 1 hour hour £150
